SuperSmart Supplements Review 2026: Is It Worth It?

SuperSmart Supplements Review 2026: Is It Worth It? – Eternal Elixir Nicotinamide Riboside 500mg bottle

Edited by Elaine Fletcher, Researcher

Quick answer: SuperSmart is a European supplement company whose story starts in 1991 in the south of France. It is now based in Luxembourg and sells to US buyers through a store shipped from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our SuperSmart supplements review for 2026 finds a real, established brand with a catalog of more than 400 items, many of them standardized plant extracts and rare single nutrients. For longevity buyers, the doses are modest and the cost per gram of active ingredient is high. Its NAD+ Booster Formula gives 300 mg of nicotinamide riboside (NR) chloride in a three-capsule serving for $89 a bottle, or $2.97 a serving, and its US store sells no NMN. Our pick is Eternal Elixir Nicotinamide Riboside 500mg: 500 mg of NR chloride in one capsule, 60 capsules for $59.99, or $1.00 a serving.

Eternal Elixir makes Nicotinamide Riboside 500mg and the other products compared below, and we compete with SuperSmart, so read this as a competitor’s review. Every SuperSmart figure comes from its US product pages, category pages, terms of sale, company story and the certificate PDFs it links, all read on September 25, 2026. We did not buy or lab-test SuperSmart products. Here is how we write and review content.

SuperSmart supplements review: who is behind the brand

SuperSmart’s story page opens in 1991, in the south of France, and says the company later moved to Luxembourg to be more central for European and international sales. It says it makes around 60% of its products in the United States and 40% in Europe. Its main distribution center is in the Netherlands, with a second one in the US. US orders are sold and shipped by SuperSmart Fulfillment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The catalog is the headline. SuperSmart says it holds more than 400 items, and its US Healthy Aging category alone listed 56 products when we checked. Many are things big US stores rarely carry: 2-HOBA, cycloastragenol, trigonelline, xanthohumol, fisetin and urolithin A. Most formulas use standardized plant extracts or patented ingredients rather than large doses of a purified compound.

So is SuperSmart legit? Yes. It is a long-running company with a named US seller, clear terms of sale and a certificate PDF on each product page we opened. Whether it suits you depends on what you want from a longevity product, which the rest of this review works through.

What SuperSmart’s certificates of analysis actually show

SuperSmart links a certificate from each product page and prints a best-before date before you buy. That is more than most US brands show, and it deserves credit. We opened the certificates for five of its longevity products to see what they contain.

  • NAD+ Booster Formula and Calcium AKG: finished-product certificates from Laboratorio Anur in Spain. They record capsule size, fill weight, weight uniformity, disintegration time, moisture, appearance and label checks. For ingredient amounts, both say “As specifications Customer” and give no measured figure.
  • Resveratrol and TUDCA Bile Complex: “certificate of batch” documents from Provero Pharma in the Netherlands. They list the recipe per capsule and a chart of capsule weight spread. No other test is reported.
  • Spermidine: the PDF is a scanned image with no readable text.

None of the certificates we read reports a measured amount of the active ingredient, heavy metals or microbes. They are manufacturing records, which is useful, but they do not confirm that a capsule holds what the label says. One more detail: the TUDCA Bile Complex certificate lists a sage leaf extract in its recipe, while the product page lists artichoke leaf extract. We could not tell which is correct, so ask SuperSmart before you buy that one.

SuperSmart’s longevity range: prices, doses and the missing NMN

Here is the NAD+ and longevity shelf on SuperSmart’s US store, from its product and category pages on September 25, 2026.

  • NAD+ Booster Formula: $89 for 90 capsules. A three-capsule daily serving gives 300 mg of nicotinamide riboside chloride, 500 mg of a blend called BluNAD Booster and 50 mg of apigenin from celery leaf extract. That is 30 servings.
  • Resveratrol: $44 for 90 capsules. Each capsule gives 20 mg of resveratrol from a grape and Japanese knotweed extract blend standardized to 10%. The label serving is two capsules (40 mg), which makes 45 servings.
  • Spermidine: $52 for 60 capsules. A two-capsule serving gives 3 mg of spermidine from 300 mg of rice germ extract standardized to 1%, for 30 servings.
  • Calcium AKG: $29 for 60 capsules. A two-capsule serving gives 1,000 mg of calcium alpha-ketoglutarate, for 30 servings.
  • TUDCA Bile Complex: $45 for 90 capsules. A three-capsule serving gives 250 mg of TUDCA with 300 mg each of choline bitartrate, taurine and artichoke leaf extract, for 30 servings.
  • Others: NADH at $22 for 60 capsules, Urolithin A at $107 for 60, Senolytic Complex at $65 for 90, Natural Rapalogs at $51 for 90 and Fisetin at $76 for 60 tablets.

The gap most write-ups miss is NMN. SuperSmart’s US store does not sell it. Its Healthy Aging category lists no NMN product, and the old NMN product pages on the US store now say the product is no longer available. The NAD+ shelf runs on NR and NADH instead.

SuperSmart vs Eternal Elixir: cost per serving and per gram

Bottle prices hide the difference, because capsule counts, serving sizes and doses all vary. These are one-time prices on each brand’s US store as of Sep 2026, before any subscription or multi-bottle discount. Cost per gram counts only the named active ingredient.

Read the rows with their caveats. SuperSmart wins clearly on Ca-AKG: its 1,000 mg serving costs $0.97 a gram against $1.67 for ours. If Ca-AKG is all you want, SuperSmart is the cheaper source of the two.

On NR, the NAD+ Booster Formula price also pays for its BluNAD blend and apigenin, so the per-gram figure is not a pure NR price. Even so, one of our capsules gives 500 mg of the same NR chloride form for $1.00, against 300 mg for $2.97. The TUDCA row works the same way: SuperSmart’s complex adds choline, taurine and artichoke, and ours is TUDCA alone at twice the TUDCA per serving.

Spermidine needs a closer look, because the two labels count different things. Ours declares 10 mg of spermidine trihydrochloride, a salt. By molecular weight, that is about 5.7 mg of spermidine itself. SuperSmart declares 3 mg of spermidine from a food extract. Counted as spermidine, ours costs about $0.15 per mg and SuperSmart’s about $0.58 per mg.

Resveratrol is the biggest gap and the biggest difference in aim. SuperSmart sells a grape and knotweed extract at 20 mg of resveratrol per capsule. Ours is 600 mg of 98% trans-resveratrol per capsule. If you want the whole-extract blend, you are buying something ours does not contain. If you want milligrams of resveratrol, ours costs $1.11 a gram against $24.44.

Discounts change the numbers a little. SuperSmart takes 15% off subscriptions and up to 20% when you subscribe to three or more items, and it ships US orders free over $25 by USPS or over $60 by UPS. Our multi-bottle discounts take 10% off two bottles, 15% off three and 20% off five, and US orders over $100 ship free.

What the research says about these ingredients

Nicotinamide riboside: dose-dependent rise in blood NAD+

In an eight-week randomized, placebo-controlled trial in Scientific Reports (Conze and colleagues, 2019), 140 healthy overweight adults took a placebo or 100 mg, 300 mg or 1,000 mg of NR chloride a day, with 35 people per group. Whole blood NAD+ rose by 22%, 51% and 142% at those doses within two weeks and stayed up for the rest of the study. Adverse events did not differ from placebo. NR maker ChromaDex funded the trial, and two authors worked for it.

SuperSmart’s 300 mg serving matches the middle dose. Our 500 mg capsule sits between the 300 mg and 1,000 mg arms, so its exact effect was not measured there. Evidence level: randomized human trials measuring blood NAD+. NR has not been shown to extend human lifespan, and our capsule itself has not been clinically tested. Our nicotinamide riboside comparison covers other brands, and our NMN versus NR guide explains how the two precursors differ.

Resveratrol: well absorbed, then cleared fast

In a small study in Drug Metabolism and Disposition (Walle and colleagues, 2004), six volunteers took a 25 mg oral dose of labeled resveratrol. At least 70% was absorbed, but only trace amounts of unchanged resveratrol reached the blood, because the gut and liver convert it quickly. The longest human trial we know of, the RESHAW trial, used 75 mg twice a day in postmenopausal women and reported a small gain in spine bone density after 12 months. SuperSmart’s two-capsule serving gives 40 mg, below that daily total of 150 mg. A higher dose has not been shown to work better.

Evidence level: absorption studies and a few longer human trials in specific groups. Our resveratrol supplement comparison covers the research in more depth.

Spermidine: the largest trial found no memory effect

The SmartAge trial in JAMA Network Open (Schwarz and colleagues, 2022) gave 100 adults aged 60 to 90 who reported memory concerns either a wheat germ extract providing 0.9 mg of spermidine a day or a placebo for 12 months. Memory performance did not change compared with placebo. The authors saw possible effects on verbal memory and inflammation in exploratory analyses and called for trials at higher doses.

Both SuperSmart’s 3 mg and our 10 mg trihydrochloride capsule give more than that trial did, but no trial has tested either amount for memory. Evidence level: one year-long human trial with a negative main result. Our spermidine benefits guide and our spermidine comparison cover the rest.

Ca-AKG and TUDCA: know what the evidence is

The lifespan results for calcium alpha-ketoglutarate come from mice (Asadi Shahmirzadi and colleagues, Cell Metabolism, 2020). No human lifespan data exist, so any longevity claim for Ca-AKG is unproven in people. Our Ca-AKG evidence review goes through the studies. Most TUDCA research involves people under medical care, so talk to your doctor before taking it if you have a liver or gallbladder condition. Our TUDCA dosage and safety guide covers what is known.

How SuperSmart compares with other brands we’ve reviewed

SuperSmart’s closest match is Life Extension, another huge catalog built around research-led formulas. Our Double Wood Supplements review covers a budget brand that posts lot lab reports, a useful contrast with SuperSmart’s manufacturing certificates. Our NatureWise review and Toniiq NMN review cover the narrower, higher-dose end of the market, and our Do Not Age review covers a longevity specialist. Who SuperSmart suits, and who should shop elsewhere

SuperSmart suits you if you want a rare nutrient that big US stores skip, prefer standardized whole-plant extracts to purified compounds, or want Ca-AKG at a low price per gram. Its one-year return window and free shipping over $25 are generous too.

Shop elsewhere if NMN is on your list, since its US store does not sell it. The same goes if you judge a longevity product on milligrams of active ingredient per dollar, where NR, resveratrol, spermidine and TUDCA all cost more at SuperSmart, or if you want a test result for the lot in your hand. Eternal Elixir has nothing for the shopper who came for trigonelline or 2-HOBA, and for that shopper SuperSmart is a sensible choice.

SuperSmart supplements review: frequently asked questions

Are SuperSmart supplements legit?

Yes. SuperSmart is an established European company whose story starts in 1991, and US orders are sold by SuperSmart Fulfillment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Each product page we opened linked a certificate PDF and showed a best-before date. Those certificates are manufacturing records, though, and none we read reported a measured amount of the active ingredient.

What is SuperSmart?

SuperSmart is a direct-to-consumer supplement brand with more than 400 items, now based in Luxembourg. Its range leans on standardized plant extracts, patented ingredients and rare single nutrients, sold in vegetarian capsules, with a large Healthy Aging category.

Where are SuperSmart supplements made?

SuperSmart says it makes around 60% of its products in the United States and 40% in Europe. The certificates we opened came from manufacturers in Spain and the Netherlands. Its main distribution center is in the Netherlands, with a second in the US.

Does SuperSmart sell NMN supplements?

Not on its US store. Its Healthy Aging category lists no NMN product, and its older NMN product pages on the US store say the product is no longer available. For NMN, Eternal Elixir NMN 500mg declares 500 mg per capsule with 90 capsules for $49.99, and our roundup of the best NMN supplements covers other options.

Is SuperSmart good value compared with US longevity brands?

For Ca-AKG, yes: $0.97 a gram against $1.67 for ours. For NR, resveratrol, spermidine and TUDCA, no. On those four, the Eternal Elixir product costs less per unit of active ingredient in our table, partly because SuperSmart uses extracts and multi-ingredient blends at modest doses.

What is SuperSmart’s return policy?

SuperSmart’s US terms let you return all or part of an order within one full year of receiving it. Return shipping is paid by the customer unless SuperSmart made an error.

What is the most trustworthy supplement company?

No company earns that title for every product. Check four things instead: the exact form and amount of each active per serving, whether that amount matches what human trials used, whether a certificate reports a measured amount of the active, and whether the brand says what hasn’t been shown. Our product pages state the evidence level for each active, so you can hold us to the same checks.

What is the best alternative to SuperSmart NAD+ Booster Formula?

Our pick is Eternal Elixir Nicotinamide Riboside 500mg, which we make. It gives 500 mg of NR chloride in one capsule for $1.00 a serving, against 300 mg in three capsules for $2.97 with the NAD+ Booster Formula. It does not contain the BluNAD blend or apigenin, so choose SuperSmart if you want those extras.

Our verdict on SuperSmart

SuperSmart is a credible, long-running brand with an unusually deep catalog, generous returns and a certificate on every product page, even if those certificates are manufacturing records rather than lab assays. It is the cheaper choice for Ca-AKG and the obvious one for rare nutrients. For NAD+ support it costs more and gives less NR per serving, and its US store has no NMN at all. If NR is what brought you here, our Nicotinamide Riboside 500mg gives 500 mg in each capsule for a third of the NAD+ Booster Formula’s cost per serving.
