Our research

Source: our Supplement Dose Gap Report 2026. We searched PubMed for 12 longevity compounds, read the randomized trials in healthy adults, and read 32 US product labels from three brands, including ours. Searches and label reads were done on September 28, 2026.

• 7 of 12 longevity compounds have a median US label dose inside the range tested in healthy-adult randomized trials: NMN, nicotinamide riboside, resveratrol, spermidine, shilajit, glutathione and Panax ginseng. Source
• 21 of 32 US supplement labels fall inside the tested range; 7 fall below it and 4 above it. Source
• TUDCA has the widest gap: the median US label (500 mg) is 0.29x the only healthy-adult trial dose we found (1,750 mg/day). Source
• Berberine labels (500 mg) give 0.56x the lowest dose used in healthy-adult trials (900 mg/day). Source
• Pterostilbene is labeled above the tested range: healthy-adult trials used 10 to 200 mg/day, while single capsules in our label panel reach 500 mg. Source
• NMN has the most healthy-adult trials of the 12 compounds (11), testing 250 to 2,000 mg/day. Source
• The evidence is thin for four compounds: TUDCA and calcium alpha-ketoglutarate rest on one healthy-adult trial each, pterostilbene on two and berberine on three. Source
• Across the 12 compounds we cite 51 healthy-adult randomized trials, found by screening 1,977 PubMed records. Source
• Our own 12 labels: 6 sit inside the tested range, 3 below and 3 above. Source
