The capsule page says the capsules are produced in Europe and that every batch is tested by an accredited lab for purity, heavy metals and pesticides. The brand’s pitch rests on the liposomal format: the NMN is wrapped in fat-based liposomes, which Purovitalis says protects it on the way through the digestive tract. Is 250 mg of NMN enough? Label dose vs trial doses

The most useful check on any NMN bottle is to hold its daily dose against the doses tested in people. Two randomized, placebo-controlled trials frame the answer.

The 250 mg trial. In a 12-week study in GeroScience (Morifuji and colleagues, 2024), 60 older adults took 250 mg of NMN a day or a placebo. On NMN, blood NAD+ rose, four-meter walking time was shorter and sleep-quality scores improved. The main outcome, a stepping test, did not differ from placebo. The authors worked for the company that supplied the NMN.

The dose-ranging trial. In a 60-day study in the same journal (Yi and colleagues, 2023), 80 healthy middle-aged adults took a placebo or 300 mg, 600 mg or 900 mg of NMN a day. Blood NAD rose in every NMN group and was highest at 600 mg and 900 mg. The lead author worked for an NMN supplier.

So 250 mg is a studied dose, not an arbitrary one. It is also the lowest dose in this group of trials, and the dose-ranging study found more NAD at higher intakes. If you want 500 mg a day from Purovitalis capsules, you need four capsules, so a 60-capsule bottle lasts 15 days and costs $3.87 a day. Evidence level: short human trials measuring NAD+ and function.
